Dortmund, August 2019

I decided to spend one August weekend in Dortmund. This was a good time to be there, as the German Supercup was taking place there (I didn’t have stadium tickets, but I attended a public viewing of the game); Dortmund won the game against Bayern Munich, so the atmosphere in the city was great.

Westfalenpark

I spent several hours in the Westfalenpark on one of the days during my stay. The park is quite large and very beautiful, so I really enjoyed it (plus the weather on the days was amazing). Here are some photos of the park.

German football museum

I am a big football fan, so I obviously visited the German football museum. The obvious highlights were seeing the world cup trophies, the Champions League trophy, the Bundesliga trophy, and the Pokal trophy (photos below), but I found the history of German football super interesting as well.
