I was in Warsaw for a week in August 2018 in order to attend the DX workshop and present a paper there. As this was my first time there, I stayed one extra day so that I can explore the city a bit. I have to say I really like the vibe of Warsaw, plus it’s a place that has very tasty vodka. :) A bonus highlight of the trip was an organised visit (as part of the workshop) to the Invisible Exhibition, where we were guided through the darkness by a blind person.
The workshop was in the Warsaw University of Technology; here are some photos of the university and its interestingly looking hallway, which also has a statue of Marie Curie.
Some photos I took from around the city are given below. This collection includes the Palace of Culture and Science, the Saxon Garden, the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier, the Multimedia Park, and various places around the old town.
